it just seems like everyone is telling you it isn't your fault (all posts except one support this) and you don't seem to accept it.

sorry dude , i am sure this is a stressful time for you. i wasn't trying to make it worse, you just don't seem to be accepting that you did nothing wrong

good luck! :sun:

I didn't say how I felt one way or another. I didn't want people to side with/against me. Now that I have plenty of opinions, I said that imo it's not my fault

First, it's not your fault. But... considering that your car was saved from damage by the fact that you drove his instead, you might want to help out with the repairs if he's not having his insurance take care of it.

Tough one, once you dropped him off you were borrowing the car (to save yourself the extra trip).

Would his car have been safe if he had driven himself? (basically would he have parked indoors or outdoors?) If the car would have been outdoors either way he needs to be a man & deal with it.

If it would have been indoors had he driven it might be nice to offer to split his deductible. If I were in his spot I'd refuse your offer, but I think that's a fair offer.

I don't think it hailed at his school.

I think that's why I feel a little wrong for not helping him out... if he drove (had his license) it would have been MY car that got screwed from hail
