doesn't this picture look like he's looking at bush and saying, "... are you fucking kidding me? you give me a fucking t-shirt to wear over my burnt body from your war?"

nope, it looks like a person who has lost use of facial muscles due to the trauma he's sustained. Whether he's smiling, frowning, happy or sad, that is his permanent facial expression 🙁

I'm willing to bet that soldier would jump right back into duty given the chance. A true hero.

nice try though.

hmmm.... nah, he definitely looks like he's pissed at getting a shirt for some shit you and your buddy bush should be fighting instead.

let's see....nope, still looks like he's unable to move his face due to the trauma he's sustained. He's a true hero indeed.

feel free to keep digging yourself into a deeper hole, though 😉

I agree whole heartedly.

well said - he made that sacrifice so asshats can poke fun at both of the men in the picture.

Nobodies poking fun at Bush as his incompetency that led to this poor soldiers horrific disfiguring injuries is no laughing matter.

So when you said:
Wrong man in the pic received the horrific disfiguring injury.

what did you mean exactly, because in that sentence there is no mention of his incompetency.

It takes more than once man to start a war, what about all the other members of congress that signed on? Even the ones that after they realized this was not going to be a get in, get it done and get out situation claimed they had been duped?

But hey, if it makes it easier for you to sleep at night to place the blame on one lone individual as if he had sole control over everything then so be it....good for you.
Nice speech:roll:

With Bush as president nobody in their right mind should sleep easier, especially those with loved ones in the military.

yes because he and only he is responsible for this....

Congress was also responsible were they not?

Why stop at wishing this type of injury on Bush is my point.

If your sole reasoning is because he instigated the war, then why not also wish this type of thing on those others that also signed on? Are they not just as culpable?

You only wish this type of thing on him because of your short sighted political views...you want to make a nice neat little package and hold only one man responsible...forget everyone else that also had a hand in it...Republican or Democrat...but especially the Democrats.

The bottom line is though that there should not be any wishing of this type of injury on any human being for any reason...(with the exception of a child molester perhaps)

It shows a lot about you as a human being to do so....you disagree with the war, his political views and position a President so therefore only he deserves this type of disfigurement.

what if Clinton or another Democrat who signed onto this war was in the picture....should they also have this type of injury? I mean after all...no one forced them to sign on.

As opposed to those of us insulting only one of them in that picture. 😱

Sad to say, but this brave Marine will be GWB's historical legacy, like it or not.

ANY solution that ultimately prevails will not be credited to him, it will be his successor's triumph to claim.

QFT!

I can't imagine the pain that Marine has suffered with that kind of injury, nor the kind of pain he will have to live with for the remainder of his life...both physical and mental.

You KNOW insensitive assholes will stare and whisper when they see him...and even the ones who actually mean well will still stare and whisper...

BTW, I think youse guys are missing the point...I think HE is giving Bush the shirt, not the other way around...

one more time...nope, definitely looks like someone who can't move his face to do the trauma he's suffered. He's to be commended for his sacrifice.

Although I suppose someone ignorant of a trauma like that might see it your way.

That said, looks you've ditched the shovel in favor of a BDS excavator. congrats!

dunno wtf a bds evacator is, but whatever... it doesn't change the fact that to anyone who isn't going to cry themselves to sleep with national pride clutching an american flag with a picture of george w bush on the wall over their headboard and understands the truth that this brave soldier paid dearly for something that should never have happened, it looks like he's pissed at getting a t-shirt from bush.

but, then again, you can take it however you want.

Jeezus youse people are dense...

http://www.washingtonpost.com/...v=rss_politics/fedpage

"P resident Bush spent an emotional two hours Thursday at the Center for the Intrepid, a new rehabilitation facility for wounded soldiers at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Such stops have been common for Bush, especially since the scandal last spring at Walter Reed, but the White House allowed reporters unusual access to Bush on his tour through this state-of-the-art facility, giving a more intimate view of the kind of poignant and powerful scenes the president can encounter on such visits.

Bush appeared relaxed and upbeat as he toured the privately funded facility and greeted soldiers who had lost limbs and suffered grievous burns from roadside bombs and other attacks in Iraq. Some of the troops told the president that they are anxious to return to service despite their injuries.

Bush sat down and chatted with a number of soldiers, received a T-shirt bearing the words "Operation Iraqi Freedom 2006" from one badly burned Marine lance corporal and watched two double amputees sitting on giant gym balls play catch with a smaller ball. By the time he had finished the tour, Bush seemed close to tears.

He's a United States Marine and will always be United States Marine. He is a pure embodiment of courage. He'll be ok. He'll adapt and overcome. That's what he's been taught. IMO that Woman is lucky to have a man of his character to spend her life with.

Wasn't he in the movie 300?

Why the need to be an insensitive prick? Did you get spit on in school last week?

Wow - poor guy. That is a sad picture of what should be a joyous occasion.

I don't mean to be finicky, but how could he NOT have been medically separated from the service, and thus disqualified from wearing a uniform? I don't take umbrage with him doing it anyway, but it seems really unlikely to me that a person with such grievous injuries could remain a Marine.
