I hav a pretty crappy plan so i'm looking to upgrade. got offers from others, so i'm ready to switch if need be (though i would prefer to stay on tmboile b/c i use mobile 2 mobile with others quite often ;) but i don't mention that)

But now i'm looking for phones...the lady tried to offer me their phones for MORE expensive than what was online...I told her it was unfair, and I've been with them for over 2 years now. She said she'll transfer me to an account specialist who can offer further discounts...so here I am waiting to see....

I figure if they don't offer good deals, threaten to cancel, and get pushed to canceltation dept where they will probably ask me and offer one last ditch effort to keep me (I know how these things work, my friend has worked for these companies before and its the way it works)...eithre way maaaan I just want to see if i can get the e335 or d415 for 50...that would be desirable~ if not, I could take thatthe Sharp TM150 for 50....

Oh, and no I'm a good person to talk to ;]) I don't bitch, I speak clearly, listen fine, don't wine like others...and the respnoses from them have been encouraging~ just seems i have to go through this whole ridiculous process.

Hey if anyone recently upgraded their plan with Tmobile and you got a nice phone for cheap...which phone was it and how much :D

Though the fact i've been on waiting for nearly 20 minutes is something i find ludicrous~ I guess they make u keep waiting so if you get a good deal, you gotta "work" for it so to say :\

If you're used to how all this works then you should know that the prices you see online are NEW CUSTOMER prices.

T-Mobile (or any other wireless provider) would very quickly go out of business if they ate a handset subsidy everytime a subscriber wanted to upgrade. Either that or they'd have to jack their prices way up, which of course you'd bitch about too.

People seem to have no clue how much of a handset price is subsidized. I worked for a T-Mobile call center for a few months last year, I always loved the calls that went like this:

Customer: I've had my service for two months, I dropped my phone in the toilet. I need to get a new phone.
Me: (Check the account, no handset insurance) OK, what kind of phone do you want?
Customer: One like I had.
Me: OK, that will be $250.
Customer: Are you crazy? I paid only $50 for this phone!
