I have a question...what if a girl suffering from anorexia (not the medical condition, but the psychological "I look fat" one) were to smoke mj? Would she just start eating or would she turn bulimic?

Anorexia has psychological roots, so just having an appetite wouldn't cure it. She'd either remain anorexic or become bulimic.

Well medically speaking, just the term Anorexia means "Loss of appetite, especially as a result of disease." but I am really talking about Anorexia nervosa

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anorexia_nervosa

You're right though, they'd probably become bulimic.

Yeah, sorry, I assumed you were talking about anorexia nervosa, since that's what most people mean when they use the term.

From the Federal Governments's perspective.

Should they allow MJ for medical use, at what point does it actually become for medical use (required)?

It's also illegal because of companies in the early 20th century such as Cotton (Hemp wears much longer, and can be just as soft, they even found out how to make hemp waterproof) and DuPont who didn't want it to cut in on profits. And we all know America (especially at that time) sold out to the highest bidder.

To this specific point, this is just plain ****** up. They are going to have her get hopped up on opiates when they have been proven not to work for her. Maybe someday we will have people actually look at the facts.

My understanding is that William Randolph Hearst had a big part in it. He owned a lot of timber land, and he owned a lot of newspapers. He used the papers to give marijuana a bad reputation (and associate it with Mexicans).

yeah thats what i thought also.

The best part is it was originally outlawed due to white men afraid black (or was it mexican?) men were using Marijuana to drug and seduce their women.

It was the mexicans and black jazz musicians. Here's an article I found quickly that explains some of it..
