cable has been out since 11 this morning. apparently the whole street is out. they told us they probably wouldn't have anyone out until tomorrow but I guess enough people on my street complained so they sent someone out today. he was out there for an hour then left. didn't fix a thing. just got home from work and was hoping it'd be fixed but now. but nope. no tv and no internet. ugh........ I'm stuck with netzero dialup for now.

eh? I'm just using my grandfather's netzero high speed account. It sucks though. In order to use the compression I have to use IE.

thank god. cable is back up. I was without cable internet and tv for 36 hours. wtf? they got our electricity back on after the hurricanes in less time.

A few weeks ago, on a Monday evening: Cable TV was fine, internet was down. It had been down for about six hours or so, I decide to call customer service to report and/or ask if they were aware of the situation. (Forced) technical support consisted of, reboot the modem, unplug then replug the coax, reboot the modem a few more times, jiggle the handle on the toilet, push the keys while turning, and finally, reboot the PC. Eventually the woman I was talking to gave up and decided that the line was actually down and said that they could have someone come out and take a look at the feed as early as next Thursday.

At that point I just hung up on her and waited for it to come back up. Which it did, roughly two hours later.

I hate Comcast.
