It started yesterday that my cable modem speeds were way slower than normal. Pages took forever to load up and downloading was horridly slow.
I use Rogers Hi-Speed cable modem service.
Getting concerned that it might be my system, I did some speed tests at broadband reports. And low and behold my speeds sucked. 117 kb/sec downloads and 60kb/sec uploads. Normally I got 2500 kb/sec down and 360 kb/sec up. This is using the speakeasy test in NY. So I called my tech support about it and the dunces at level 1 support tell me everything is fine because I have no trouble connecting to the net
. After getting annoyed with that, I asked to be transfered to Level 2 support. It took him less than 1 min to see the problem. My modem decided to drop me down to Rogers Lite after its serial # became unbound to my service. So he reset everything and 5 mins later I have real Hi-Speed again.
Now i am happy again.
