ugh, migrating to vista :(

Ok, so our customers want us to migrate over to vista. 🙁 I'm fairly familiar with the system, but very unfamiliar with the group policy side of things. I am using 2k3 standard, will be deploying local computer security policies via Group Policy. I've come across a new format of ADM files called ADMX. Are these the new templates? and if so, how does one actually implement them using Group Policy?
 
I thought there was a group policy update for Win2003 Active Directory that exposes Vista and Win7 features?

Is there a reason they arent interested in going to Win7?

You wouldn't happen to know which KB article that was would you? I'll just verify whether it's a patch that was rolled out or not on our WSUS. (probably was but I'm not too sure atm.)

It hasn't approved it yet. I have a feeling that once I get this rollout completed and the workstations deployed, Win7 will be approved and we'll be forced to go in that direction. (I would prefer to do this now, but we've been mandated to go to Vista)
