OK, so I was installing a wireless network at my house. I followed all of the instructions, hooked it up, restarted my computer, except the setup (through a web browser) didn't work. It turned out that I wasn't connected to the Internet, and no matter what I did, nothing happenned, and even though the router is no longer connected, I have no Internet access...does anyone know what's wrong?

Also, I'm building a new computer, and I heard that SP2 didn't work with A64s. Is that true?

SP2 works fine with A64s. I use one everyday!

You need to make sure you can still get access without your router to make sure you are getting a signal. If you are, power down your PC, router, and cable modem. Then, turn your cable modem on and wait about a minute. Next, turn your router on and wait about a minute. Next, turn your PC on and hopefully you'll be okay. If not, you likely will need to make sure your PC is setup for DHCP.

Good luck!

Start Menu
Run
cmd -> OK
ipconfig /all

What is the IP address, if you're getting one at all?

I would still try shutting down the PC and the cable modem, then cycling them on as I described.

Actually, I was assuming you're using a cable modem. Is that the case? If so, are the lights lit up as normal on the modem?

Might be useful to go ahead and place a call to your ISP to make sure nothing weird is going on too.
