Ugh, I'm an idiot...NEC 3520A trouble

So I just bought the NEC ND-3520A, and was flashing it to the new firmware....the instructions clearly said to NOT leave media in the tray, and of course, I did...I ran the flash, then shut down my comp, and then i realized I left it in there, and started panicking...so I manually took the media out of the drive using a paper clip, restarted the comp, but it didnt give me an error. Does this mean it still flashed correctly? (When I try to run the flash program again, it says my version is 3.04, which is the latest)

edit: then again, the website says CD media, and I had a DVD-R in the drive...but i dunno how that would differ

well...yea, but i was just wondering if anyone's come across this, as I am FREAKING out right now

Have you tried burning something with the new firmware? You shouldn't be freaking out as long as it's working.

I think they say that, just in case you had some important half burnt cd in there and the drive corrupted it while updating the firmware, while it calibrates and does whatever it needs to...
they dont want to be sued 🙂
