You think that's bad, my gf just spent $600 on stuff for our bed...of course, it was a complete re-do with duvet, duvet cover, pillows, pillow shams, sheets, and bedskirt, but still...$600! :Q I could have a very nice new TV for that!

I have to admit...it looks really nice. She's in charge of making the bed now...we never used to make it when we had crappy sheets/blankets.

Yeah, except you'll eat up your profit treating the rugburn those cheap sheets will give you. High thread-count sheets are worth every penny and they last for-ev-er.

Anyone who comes into our apartment will see it (unless the bedroom door is closed), as the bedroom is directly off the entrance hallway. Anyways, there's something to be said about having nice things, even little things like sheets and blankets.

Oh, I totally agree with that, but sheets != Duvet, Duvet cover, shams, and bedskirt. ;)

I'm skeptical of these sheets from Overstock. I have been looking for sheets for a while but just can't bring myself to pay so much money for something I have no idea about. These sheets are sateen, not satin and who makes them? I read an article about thread counts and it was minde blowing how some 400-500 thread counts sheets were worse than 150 thread count sheets from target?

I have been eyeing some Sonoma sateen sheets from Kohls but the colors are all silly pastels which I don't want. But they are are 400 thread count, feel really nice right out of the box are are only $56 bucks.

Does anyone know of any good reviews on sheets? I have looked at a lot of the standard websites and never find a good reviews?

If you think of sheets as clothing that you'll wear everyday it then doesn't look as expensive.
If you want to truly get ripped off, try buying sheets and bedding for a baby's crib.
