I have my hardtop MR2 up for sale (w/bad motor)...I won't really have a space available to work on it, and I don't have the money available to fix it (the other one is getting paint and hopefully wheels - budget is tapped beyond empty).., but every once in a while I see a clean/running hardtop and it makes me want to hang onto it & fix it when I have the time... :/

Bah. Someone is coming to look at it tomorrow..maybe he'll buy it and then I won't have to think about it anymore. 🙁

Except for the two tone paint job it looks in nice shape.

Three...the hood is black and the bumper is blue. 😛 Apparently a pickup truck backed into it in a previous life. I could have that taken care of for practically free..I worked out a deal with a friend of mine - my cost would be whatever the paint/clear runs. He's busy doing my other car now, and his car is next..so I can't have it fixed just yet.

The major problem is the bad motor and some sketchy wiring, but for a couple grand I'd have it back on the road again. I'm moving this weekend and the apartment comes with a garage bay..if I can talk the future occupants of the other unit (as of yet, not rented out) into renting the other bay out to me, I could probably do it.

Yeah dude, those cars are good on gas, nimble, fast, and hella fun to drive. I'd hang onto it unless I absolutely HAD to sell it. Plus, dropping a couple grand into it would more than likely double the sale price, if you sell it later on after fixing it.

That's what I would want if I were in the market, I will never buy a car with T-tops.

Sad to see it go, I was hoping to see that thing tearing it up on Youtube.

I know, I have two of 'em 😉

Someone is coming to look at it today..if he buys it, she's gone...but if not, I may try to work out how to keep it.

How's paint and interior coming on the other beast? 🙂

My interior is pretty damn nice, really - the dash is perfect...only things I need to do is eventually get some nice seats and figure out where my gauges are going to go.
