people give you updates on the lives of your ex's.

here I am, strolling along through life... I had completely forgot that the person had even existed, and a mutual friend decides to spend 15 minutes giving me all the details of the ex's life. It's like, wtf. Way to drag up some emotional baggage that's been buried for a good 4 years.

I need to get new friends 😛

That is why you are supposed to kill you ex girlfriends. That way they dont have a life after you and you dont have to worry about hearing about them.

If you have kids, then you still have a relationship, it's just wierd and oppositional. Unless, of course, someone on the forums has kids and an amicable divorce.
 
Nope, I'm always curious how they're doing if I haven't heard from then in a while, so getting updates is great. Can't think of a reason why I wouldn't want to know.

Once in a while I'll do searches on the net, but there's never been that much out there to find. There's one who starts a journal on a random free hosting site every year or two, posts three times, and abandons it until the next go-around, and a couple of others who started websites years ago and never updated them, but that's about it.
