Ugh: concussion . . ..

Well, I've had my Kung Fu class to-day, and our instructor was having back problems . . so he was on vicodin . . ..

Anyhoo, we were doing drills for the senior students, and me, being the most senior, was the demonstration partner - he's on vicodin, so he slips, and he pops me in the jaw! He still had a degree of control, but it was nowhere near what's deemed "safe" . . ..

Of course he apologized profusely, but the way I got hit, the back of my head is hurting and I'm feeling tired ever since then . . . I think I have a teeny weeney minor concussion - any tips (like elevate my legs over my head or something) on getting rid of the head pains? Other then drugs?

See a doctor?

Well, it'll go away by the morning - if it doesn't, I'll DEFINITELY see a doc . . . but I just want the headache to go away . . ..

And don't tell me to take drugs (like tylenol, aspirin, etc.). I said no drugs.

You aren't supposed to go to sleep if you've had a concussion... at least that's what I've been told time and time again...

That's what I was always told too...then again none of those people were doctors either.

drink lots of water, and go to sleep, make sure you're on your back

it's what i'd do, but ive no experience with a cuncussion

I have had 2 in my life. I wouldnt worry about it too much if you just have a small headache. I was dizzy and sick for 2 days after my second one. There isnt to much you can really do about it you just have to give it time.

are you nauseous at all?
Yeah...concussions worth worrying about are usually accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, vertigo, loss of balance, ect. If you experience any of these symptoms, see a doctor immediately. 500mg of Tylenol should help ya out. See a doctor if things don't improve within 2 days.

<---Has hit head on diving board a number of times.
