Ugh, can't find my windows 98 CD....

You know, I'd never have thought I'd want that thing again....

Does anyone know if it's poosible to go from a dual boot (win2x, redhat8) to a triple boot (win2k, win98, redhat 8) without reformatting?

Should be no problem. I used to have a machine that would boot into Linux, NT 4.0, Windows 98, and MS-DOS 6.22 all selectable from the NT select OS screen. There was a procedure to make a bootsect file for the Linux filesystem but I don't recall what it was.

True, but this is really more of a "whining that I can't find my cd" thread than a "help with dual booting thread" 🙂

I didn't think it's possible because Winblows 9x is brain-dead and insists upon being installed to the primary, active, first partition on the first drive.

But Read the FAQ'n document.

If you put 98 on the first partition it should work.

I found your CD....it's so scratched up doubt it'll work tho.
