Ugh, bought a nice glass coffee table

So I bought a nice glass coffee table off criagslist today and it was perfect for my needs, but when i got it home, as I was taking the 60"X30" glass top of my car, I rested the bottom on my foot so it wouldnt touch the ground, well by accident one of the corners touched the ground (not very hard at all) and a 1"X4" piece broke cleanly off. DAMN IT!

its really thick glass and there was no mark on it, so I have no clue how it happened, but boy did it piss me off. Now I have a table that is perfect for what I need, but it is missing this piece- broken glass 🙁

And I assume getting a new thick piece of glass thats 5' by 2.5' is gonna be pretty expensive

Guess for now I will try and find a glass glue to put it back together and see if any

Rant over

That's the reason I'm not a big fan of glass top tables. My dad's girlfriend brought in a coffee table and a dinner table with glass tops, and I'm shocked honestly that we haven't managed to chip them yet. I just don't like them cuz I constantly think they could break.

Sux bout your table tho 🙁

I know glass isnt expensive usually, but I thought since this is pretty thick, it might be

also I cant believe how smooth it broke, it was really odd
