I'm sick of all the chatter, when is this damn chip coming out? Has anyone seen any firm dates, first it was April 4th, then April 14th......... are we looking at June here?

Yeah I know I thought it would be out soon so I decided to wait (Have been waiting 10 days now) but it doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon... I emailed monarchcomputer on when they would have it and they dont even have an eta.

And why would monday be the day?

I am too, but I am getting sick of AMDs slow-ass production. ...It is clear they have serious problems supplying chips....

If they take too long on the dual cores after INtel comes out..I may go back...I am still not happy a company that designed the opteron as a dual core cpu takes this long to get one out the fvcking door, and then get beat to the market by Intel who plans on coming to the dance last minute....

If intel is just as fast & cheaper than AMD then Intel here I come. 😉

I am not so sure,we have not seen any AMD dual core prices yet & Anand said the intel dual cores cpus will be fairly cheap....

And when can we expect to see main stream desktop Intel dual core P4's?
 
I too was waiting on Venice and then got well, um tired of waiting. If they say April 4th, then in my opinion it should be April 4th and stop getting everyone's hopes up!!

Here it is 11 days later and NO ONE has them in stock.

I got fed up and bought an AMD 4000+ because I couldn't wait any longer.
 
AMD should start a "CPU of the month club", pay a fee once a year and as each new core is released they send you one and you have the option to keep it and return the previous core, or return it🙂 Kind of like the old record clubs.

This is getting ridiculous! You wait for the next big thing, and before you pick it out of your mailbox, there is a new best thing coming out next month🙁
 
I got tired of waiting too, so I bought a Winnie two weeks ago. I'll skip the whole Venice line and go straight to dual-core when they comes out.
