GEEZ!! this is the 5th blackout we've had in the past MONTH. i dont know what the hell PG&E is doing, but my neighbors, and myself included are really not pleased with their service. now i have to reset the clocks AGAIN. seriously...this is BS!!!

i was just reinstalling all the software onto my main computer after reformatting it. well, it was in the middle of installing service pack 1 when KABOOOOOM. lights went out. so frustrated, grabbed a flashlight, and when the lights didnt come back on for an hour, i just went to take a shower and went to bed.

this morning turns out it had been blacked out for what? 3 HOURS?!?!?! this is even longer than the previous 5 times. now my PC wont boot correctly into xp anymore because i suppose something was modified during the *half* installation of the service pack. im stuck here reinstalling everything.

....and would have thought they got a grip on the california power crisis by now....

/end rant

It could have been a car hitting a pole or any other thing that caused it. I wasn't aware Cali was having rolling blackouts or EVER had them at night.

I was there a couple of weeks ago for training. Got pretty hot one day and they were doing the rolling blackouts. The hotel was without power for a few hours.

We're not and we didn't. LongCoolMother probably lives at the top of some windy mountain where trees always blow over onto power lines or something.
