Uggghhh... still can't decide and need help. NForce or KT266A to go with these components?

I am going to go with an Athlon XP 1x00+ and either 256meg or 512 meg DDR (is Kingston any good and why is Corsair twice as expensive as everyone else?) I also am planning on using an addon IDE card to give all my devices their own channel, plus if I go with KT266a I will get an Audigy. Will KT266A give me PCI problems? If I go Nforce I will probably not have any PCI problems, plus I'll have the integrated audio so I don't have to buy the audigy. In fact all I might have on my pci bus would be a possible IDE card. What do you guys think? I was planning on getting the Epox 8KHA+, but after deciding to do some more research, I found a TON of negative reviews on KT266A boards, especially when you have Creative soundcards and IDE cards on the PCI bus.

Personally, I'd rather go with a KT266A chipset-based mobo..... Abit KR7A or Epox 8KHA+
Any of the Athlon XP is good, but look for the 1600+ and 1700+ for best value. Kingston is good, but Corsair and Crucial offers slightly better performance. Again, I prefer to buy Crucial, given the three choices.
Audigy should work OK with the above mobo...... If you have experience putting a system together in the past, there shouldnt be any problem.

The Epox 8KHA+ works fine with SB Audigy I`m using one at the moment, don`t know about PCI IDE card ,I do know there`s a VIA patch out (I don`t need it) as for nForce well it`s really all down to price and what you exactly want in your motherboard, eitherway is really not a bad choice so it`s your call.

I have built plenty of systems, but I am more concerned about performance than the people I build them for are. I just haven't put together a VIA system for myself, and now that I am reading all of these posts, I didn't know if I would have problems with my choice of hardware.
