Ug, bought a Gamecube and an Xbox within a week of each other. Recommend some games for both, and what in the future?

My unemployed, dumb ass bought a Gamecube last Friday. Well if you have seen the Hot Deals post I made, I snagged an Xbox yesterday at a pretty astounding price.

Not into sports, and not into racing. Here's what I have for the Gamecube:

Mario Sunshine
Metroid Prime
Mortal Kombat
Rogue Leader
Wave Race
Pikmin
Eternal Darkness
Extreme G3
Resident Evil
Wreckless (it's sealed, probably going to sell it due to poor reviews, I only got it because it was $11 on eBay, wahoo!)

Here's what I have for Xbox:

Sega GT 2002
Jet Set Radio Future

Now, what titles should I look at picking up for both systems? Xbox games CANNOT be on the PC, if they are that's where I will get them (like Splinter Cell).

For Gamecube I was thinking:

StarFox
Super Monkey Ball 1 or 2 (whichever is cheaper)

For Xbox:

Halo (exception for the PC rule right now)
DOA3
Project Gotham Racing

I need the games CHEAP. That's why I love the Gamecube. I haven't paid more than $20 for any of those games, I'd like to do the same with the Xbox (either in store or fs/ft, etc.). That's also why I kinda avoid getting the newest games like StarFox and Mechassault, because they are more than I want to pay right now.

And what games can I look forward to on both systems? Zelda for the GC I know, and probably Project Ego on Xbox, but other than that, what?

Even as a longtime PC diehard, now that I have an X-Box I think I generally prefer it, and I would get most games for X-Box rather than PC, given the choice. With that in mind, Rallisport Challenge is amazing, and having played the PC demo, I strongly prefer the X-Box version.

Really? I bought the PC version and it should be here tomorrow. Thought the demo was awesome.

I'm running a P4 2.4Ghz and a Ti4600 so things run really smooth and at high res.

I may sell it and get the Xbox version used, as I can find it for like $15.

Splinter Cell is just too expensive since it's new.

For the PC I can get it for $35 or so new, vs. $45 for the Xbox.

You bought all of that while being unemployed

I guess you are helping the economy, but you sure are killing your wallet.

To me, driving games are a natural for a console, because the larger screen and better sound (I have an Audigy and Klipsches on my PC, but the sound still pales in comparison to my living room system) make things far more immersive. To me a gamepad is the natural choice for controlling racing games on any system, and the X-Box S controller is better than my digital-only Sidewinder on my PC. To each his own, but I imagine the only games I will be buying for the PC from now on are those that are not available on X-Box (e.g., Vice City), or FPSs (since I still prefer mouse and keyboard for them).

If you don't like racing and sports, that cancels a lot of games from my recommendation. I know there are a lot of you who say that you will get the game on PC but compared to a controller that works properly (sp) with the game, I'd rather have the Xbox version of many of the games also out on PC. Anyway.

Amped (great game for under $17 at Best Buy)
Project Gotham Racing (a kick ass racing game not on PC)
Rallisport Challenge (racing game also on PC but better because the Xbox controller)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (really good 1 player game)
MotoGP (the demo comes with Live but you need to rent the full version to unlock the levels)
Morrowind (an open ended RPG also on PC, I definately would prefer the Xbox on this one)
Halo
Splinter Cell
MechAssault
Steel Battalion (this will set you back $200)

I have been playing MotoGP on Live everyday for the last two weeks. Until I can get at least down to 1000 rank on the score boards, I will not give up. Part of the problem is that I need to get the full version so I can build a custom bike that will go a lot faster than my 20/20/20/20 stock bike I always use.

Yeah I went a bit overboard, but remember I only spent $20 a game.

I couldn't pass up the deals :(

Here's what I'm looking at buying right now for the Xbox (used):

Blood Omen 2
Bloodwake
DOA3
Genma Onimusha
Gunvalkyrie (this game any good?)
Hunter
Oddworld (this game any good?)
Project Gotham
Rallisport Challenge
Wreckless (got better reviews than on the GC)

That'd set me back about $115 when all said and done.
