Only in the past few years has the Stealth Bomber been de-classified. It has been flying since the 60s!

So imagine if we had the technology to have such an impressive aircraft back in the 60s, what kind of technology we could have now!

Interesting that many sightings occur in the vicinity of Air Force Bases as well...

UFOs are classified aircraft prototypes being tested, which also explains the seemingly uncaring attitude of the government not being involved with solving the mysteries of the UFOs (what better cover for secret testing than to let people believe they're extra-terrestrial?)

Which "stealth bomber" there are 3. the F-111 Stealth Fighter, the B-1, or the B-2?

I know the concept of a flying wing shape (B-2) has been around and tested since the 60's, is that what you are talking about?

I believe the B-1 has been around since the early 70's late 60's, but all the others are at least 10 years newer.

yes or the UFO's sightings could be induced by the hicks around the air force bases drinking to much while sitting out back and firing a few shots at the ole shootin' tree.

The B-1 is not a stealth design, it merely incorporates the technology of the given timeframe it was created in. The only thing remotely stealthy about it, is the relatively small radar cross section. I say relatively, because for it's size, it's very diminuitive, as opposed to the B-52.

Also, Stealth's have not been flying since the sixties, rather at that time it was most likely a dream in the minds of scientists. If I'm not mistaken, it was a Russian scientist whose theories allowed American scientists and engineers to create the Have Blue prototype. The Have Blue made way for the F-117.

The F-117 was the first aircraft of stealth design and engineering. Later on, the flat panels that were found on the F-117 were realized as not required to obtain a low radar cross section. I forget the name of the odd looking aircraft, but it did not feature faceted panels like the F-117. The rounded shape allowed the the go ahead for the "Flying Wing" B-2 Stealth Bomber, which wasn't even on the drawing boards until well into the 1980s.

The flying wing is not a new idea, and has been around since WWII and was widely publicized at the time. It failed because of the lack of proper methods of testing, and lack of the advancement of technology. Even today, the B-2 needs computers to keep it's large body in air. Truly an amazing feat for American aviation.

---so that disproves the Stealth Fighter/Air Force theory.

What's really interesting lately though, is weird contrast trails over the desert skies on the western side of the country. They look somewhat disconnected, almost acknowleding people's assumption of a pulse-type engine. Very cool stuffs. I hear it's the Aurora Project.

SUPERGROOVE: You are correct. I am an aviation/space buff myself. The Aurora project aircraft supposedly uses liquid methane for fuel, and works by a "shutter" type mechanism that when open its pulling air in and injecting a little bit of liquid methane into a (sort of) combustions chamber, then it closes, ignites the mixture, then opens again to repeat the process - hence the broken exhaust trail.

Also, stealth is not that hard to do yourself. I think I remember reading or hearing about a guy who was/is trying to build a 1/3 scale F-117A (actual aircraft, not model) kit plane and the Air Force and feds throwing a fit about it for obvious reasons. :)
