Did a quick search and couldn't find one so might as well let this one be it.

Just watched the first episode and I'm not sure if I like the way they're selecting the fighters. Without seedings, you could easily have two of the better fighters face off and one of them goes home. I would preferred if it they used the fights as evals then picked the 16 fighters that would make it on to the show. That way, if you got an unfavorable seeding or caught an unlucky break, it wouldn't have ruined your chances.

But this looks like an really interesting season and some of these guys look pretty entertaining.

Is this on a particular channel? wouldn't mind catching some of it. That Pride crap is so full of filler though, makes it tedious to watch.

It's on SpikeTV, you should get it w/ cable. This isn't regular UFC, this is more of a reality show where 16 fighters compete for a UFC contract by training with two current top UFC fighters. Most of UFC's official cards are still Pay Per View although they have Fights Nights on cable for free

It was a great first episode. And you're right, Rampage didn?t sound too bright especialy after his best body got the beating of his life. But who cares, he doesn?t get paid to be smart, he gets paid to be a big bad brute. Shades of Diego Sanchez? Naah, nobody is that stupid.
I am looking forward to the rest of the season. They promised the most violent knokout ever seen on the show in next weeks episode.....

I CAN'T WAIT............

he may not be well spoken, but that really doesnt reflect on a persons intelligence. usually in his interviews he is a very funny guy. pretty charismatic, which leads me to believe hes not a complete dolt. but yeah, who cares! he does his job extremely well.

Rampage is funny.

This show seems to have a general rule of thumb: if the coach likes someone from real life, that person will suck.

I don't mind the 32 person elimination. It's not perfect but it's better than starting with 16 and then having a lot of phoneys.

And they had promised the same thing last season, I believe it was during the quarters or semi's, and the KO wasn't all that great in my opinion.
I though it was a great episode, and I like the new format. Although given this, next season the contestants may not be as willing to let go of all their possesions, and commit themselves fully before wining the "house match" in the first episode.

The second episode was pretty good. They had promised the most violent knockout ever and they delivered. The poor guy was out before he hit the ground and got 2 more severe punches in the face before the ref stopped it. He moaned and groaned laying flat on his back for a long time before regaining consciousness and still, he had no ideas where he was or if he had been in a fight. Poor bastard got a free trip to the hospital.

Here is a good article on George St Pierre and his upcoming fight this Saturday.

Georges St. Pierre looks for redemption

I hope George wins the fight..

i expect GSP to win. Though i am pulling for Serra. I was not happy with how they tried to to take the title from him when he got hurt. to give it to one of the more well known and liked fighters. GSP was a class act though on how he handled it winning the "title" though.

It was scary/funny after the guy got ko'd. He kept asking " Is this practice or did we fight?" Over and over and over, right up to the point they put him in the ambulance. he supposedly got a Class 3 concussion. And no, i don't like the sound of that Class 3!

Peace

Yeah that knock out was brutal. Looks like everyone here is capable of fighting, no Bowmans from last year

According to some "insiders" around the web, Rampage and Forrest are sparring kinda hot and heavy and things get out of control and Rampage allegedly knocks Forrest out. Should be interesting.

I dont know whether the above statement is true or not, but someone over at Sherdog knew exactly who got knocked out and when on last weeks show. Along with the broken jaw prognosis.

Peace
