I imagine Cops is probably the best thing on there right now, isn't it?

X-play isn't bad, e3 coverage is nice, and i'm kind of ok with attack of the show surprisingly.

Kind of surprised...the UFC should show a little more loyalty to Spike, in my opinion.

God.. G4 is a pathetic piece of garbage, and that's me being nice.

I can't believe such a good channel (TechTV) was sabotaged so badly.

I say buy it so they can just put a shotgun to it's head and finish it. TechTV didn't have a huge user base, but it was more or less quality tech programming. It may not be able to support it's own cable station, but making it the shit-fest that it is now isn't any better.

The problem is they put cheap programming on as filler. However, you can only do that so much before the whole channel is filler.

If I had a shit load of money, I'd buy G4 and basically license out the content from Rev3 and Twit.

A little surprised. I didn't think UFC made THAT much money. My provider took put G4 on a premium package a while back so I haven't seen it lately. Do they still have Ninja Warrior? I always liked that show.

Maybe Spike will change back to The Nashville Network. Somebody dust off Ralph Emery.

So instead of Cops all day, we'll get old UFC fights? I just don't see how they can get enough quality content for their network. I kind of feel we should get off of 24/7 networks and go to on demand with some live/syndicated shows.

and have networks lose all those advertisement deals? Never gonna happen.

Just put the ads in the shows. If I use the start over feature, I can't skip ads. So I know they can disable the skipping feature. Less shitty content will lead to better revenue because people will be watching. Plus it's not for every network like the majors ones, but it could work for the smaller ones. Plus product placement is the new trend any way. Shove some Bud Light in there.

Only show on G4 I ever kind of watch is AOTS mostly as DVR filler so I have something to watch while other shows record. I also end up skipping through a lot of it

Who knows what they'll do with programming. They have a lot of options between the g4 programming and their fights. BTW, their fights would be more than ufc, you gotta remember, they now own all ufc catalogs, the strikeforce catalog, pride catalog, and wec catalog. That's a lot of shit. I don't think it'd survive as just a fight channel, maybe i'm wrong, but who knows. I do know that the UFC knows what they are doing, it's pretty amazing how big they've become over the last several years. From not being able to be on pay per view, to selling 55000 seats at the rogers center.

And yes, ninja warrior is still on there. They are also getting ready to start American Ninja Warrior.

G4 actually had some good shows in their own right I thought but a lot of them are long cancelled; personally I thought Codemonkeys was actually really funny and Icons was usually good for a trip down memory lane as well as actually giving some 'glory' to some deserving people/organizations. I though Unscrewed with Martin Sargent was nothing short of awesome either, but that one did come from TechTV.

Attack of the Show I normally like, for a long time Pereira was kind of annoying (especially on that Arena show) but he actually really came into his own and I think he does a pretty damn good job given what he normally has to work with. And of course Xplay has always been pretty good, though I kind of miss it and the other show's long gone 'homegrown' feel.

Nothing will ever be worse than Electric Playground though. Those guys were unbearable to watch.
