Offtopic but I've been enjoying GLORY for the past few weeks...

I'm a pretty casual fan, know the big names but don't pay all that much attention to it. But I've noticed that a lot of the time the fights between fighters who I don't know of are the most entertaining ones.

It seems like half the time those kind of events have the best fights. Maybe because it is a bunch of fighters who feel that they have to prove themselves to gain mass appeal.

HOLY SHIT, only the 2nd round and the main event is one of the best fights I have ever seen.

Ditto. Wow. That Matt Brown fight ranks up there. First round was similar to the old Frank Trigg/Matt Hughes fight where Trigg had his back and the choke...and Hughes got out and owned him. Brown did an amazing job keeping calm and getting out and just pummeling the F out of Silva. I think even the commentators said that Brown snaps/performs better once he gets hurt/gets put in a bad spot.

I've been a fan of Matt since TUF, great to see him put on a pretty great show. I'm surprised Silva lasted as long as he did. Tough tough dood, esp since he got taken out on a stretcher.

Def best fight of 2014, hands down. It would be nice to see Brown vs Big Rig, but there's an overwhelming size differential b/t the two. It'd favor Brown if it went the later rounds with the intensity he keeps...even vs Lawler he was tiring in the championship rounds.
