Diaz probably won't win, but I think he's one of the last guys I'd want to fight with no rules, lol.

wtf, diaz didn't do anything in this fight

diaz's are 1 trick ponies. they go in and hit you with 10000 punches. Benson's plan was great. kick his legs out from under him and out wrestle him.

not much you can do when you are on your back and your leg is fucked up

1 trick ponies? lol. I guess if you call having some of the best boxing and submissions in mma being a one trick pony? Both him and his brother are at the upper echelon of their weight classes. They owe no apologies for losing to the very top guys in their weight classes.

I missed the ppv last night but I heard it was an awesome card. Glad MacDonald and Henderson won. Will see if I can watch it today.

The PPV? You mean this?

The UFC fight was on network television.

Man, what a great night of fights though. Best UFC in awhile, and it was FREE! Heck, the prelims were better than many pay-per-view main cards I've seen.

Wow, Siver did maybe 170 elbows to Phan, I'm impressed by the hardness of Nam's skull.

Loved Cruickshank's fight. Great knockout.

Trujillo is definitely one to watch.

No surprise on Gustafsson or MacDonald.

Totally happy to be wrong regarding result of Henderson/Diaz. Henderson absolutely DOMINTED!

Side note: Was wondering why Fox was having so many video feed issues. Found out afterwards, it wasn't technical problems.

does henderson/diaz not know how to do leg/ankle locks?!

Diaz is a BJJ black belt and Henderson's never been submitted. They both are sick on the ground, there was never really a chance this fight was going to end in a submission.

pretty much. every fight is pretty much the same. they throw hundreds of punches and overwhelm them. eventually they beat you down and they can sub or get a "ko"

not knocking them as fighters but they aren't amazing technical MMA fighters wich is shown. They are great fighters but not top level. diaz was just dominated by bendo.

So, the definition of "one trick pony" is that they throw punches until they get a KO or submission. Seems pretty much every fighter could be called that, then.

I love those splits by henderson. The guy's in excellent condition.

one of the moments i remember most about Penn is in one fight someone was trying to take him down he is just standing in the splits laughing and hopping and staying on his feet.

bendo sitting like that kind reminds me of that.

a lot of them are. there is a reason you don't see any chuck liddel's anymore. he set up his 1 punch and it hit. everyone know what he wanted to do and you couldn't stop it. until he got older and figured out.

now you have people like bendo, rory, AS, JBJ, Jr dos santos who have a many many weapons.

the diaz's while great fighters do 1 think nearly every fight. they come in and sworm you. it works most the time. trouble is top level fighters know how to avoid it.

until they get over that they won't win a championship. hell my favorite fighter (big country) has great bjj but he still comes in trying to knock you out. he is on a loseing streak because of it.

To be fair, and I'm a big fan of JDS, JDS is a Diaz with more power and better TDD (and probably less submission skills).

Edit: oh yeah, and a better attitude, but I was mainly talking about the 1-dimension issue.
