I was looking at his record just now, and I had no idea he used to fight in the Heavyweight division and even TKO'd Frank Mir and won a decision over Tim Sylvia.

Irrational fear. Deal with it.

There has never been a death, or even a serious injury in the UFC. Worst that comes to mind is Mir breaking Tim Sylvia's arm and Corey Hill's broken leg.
 
I'll be in San Diego this weekend and I'm catching an 8PM show tomorrow night...I'll miss the entire thing, boo.

🙁 Unfortunately, you're right. When he was up-and-coming in the UFC, undefeated, and totally annihilated Mir, I was really excited about him. He's been crap lately, but he said in an interview that "I've re-focused, changed my training, blah, blah, blah.....", so I'll give him one more chance.

He lost a decision to Tim "Fight not to lose" Sylvia.

I'll be going over to a coworker's house and we'll be watching it while eating a 15 pound tray of nachos. Mmmmmm, nachos. I don't really follow UFC but it's fun to watch, especially over a tray of heart attack nachos.
 
I can't convince anyone I know to get it because all I hear is "there's no one fighting besides Rampage" - IMO this thing has the makings of a card with a TON of quick finishes. It's always cards like this and UFN's that have the best KOs and subs.
 
Looking forward to watching Lyoto Machida's next fight. He destroyed thiago silva with mind blowing Spock-like efficiency, and it'll be interesting to see how good he really is. Currently he's ranked #2/#4 in the lite-heavy division, same division as rampage.
