So yeah, I'm starting the thread a little early...but also, I was wondering if anybody knew where the UFC page is that lists all the bars that'll show the fights tonight. I've found older lists and it doesn't mention anything in downtown.

Great, 3 bars in all of Atlanta called them and the closest one is 5 miles away (NOTHING in downtown), which means a cab. Guess I'll be downloading it. boo.

(altho not this quick ;) )

i only saw the end of the 2nd round and the 3rd round, but basically the guy that lost was just back tracking around the octagon the entire 5 minute round. he would get hit a few times, and only threw a few minimal punches. the commentators were saying it looked like he was injured but didn't want to throw in the towel.

So it ended with a decision for st. pierre?

no no, that was an earlier fight we were talking about that was terrible.

the st pierre/serra fight only made it into the 2nd round. st pierre dominated the whole fight and the ref stopped it while he was giving continuous knee shots to serra's ribs as he was in the fetal position.

no this was the nate quarry/kalib starnes fight. at the end of round 3 quarry started mocking him because he wouldn't do ANYTHING. one judge even scored it 30-24 for quarry. too bad starnes kept backpedaling - it didn't allow quarry to finish him off.

Wow what a great PPV overall. THe only disappointment was the quarry/kalib fight. All the other fights were amazing especially the Bisping fight as well as the GSP fight.

Good to see GSP regain his title. Well deserved.

Serra can go back to the geriatric division with Matt Huge.

The best part of the quarry/kalib fight was the interview afterwards - for the guy to think of the quote from rocky IV was so perfect - I was at a bar and immediately everyone let out a huge cheer.

yeap. Bisping only won it bercause of the judges didnt want to piss off the crowd. Even Dana said it was a bad decision.

Anyway not a shock GSP won it. GSP had said he over looked Serra the first time and paid for it. this time around he said he has trained harder then for any fight ever.

i was pulling for Serra but didn't expect him to win.

I'd have liked Serra to win but he looked like he had no cardio. Almost pulled a Lutter.

GSP is just a much more dominant fighter. I figured he would have kept it standing up, but he took it to the ground, probably so he didn't get hit with a lucky hard punch like last time.

Ah well. WAR GSP!

GSP took it to him like he should have in the first round. I'm glad he won...I was tired of hearing Serra's fat mouth on TUF mouthing off all the live long day. Bitch.

from a new paper online:

"I wanted to work submissions," said Serra, who runs several jiu-jitsu schools in New York. "He was just too slippery. Georges was great, explosive and strong. He kicked my ass. He's phenomenal. He's the best in the world."

He he he!!

GSP is my hero.
