UFC 68 Predictions

Sylvia d. Couture via decision. I think Sylvia will just jab Randy and keep the distance.

Franklin d. MacDonald via ref stoppage. This bout will be back and forth will Franklin preventing the takedown. Franklin will connect with a heavy left and floor Jason.

Hughes d. Lytle via ref stoppage. Matt takes Lytle down and after some GNP the ref calls it.

Sobral d. Lambert via submission. Babalu will get Lambert's back and secure in a RNC.

Kampmann vs. McFedries??? I've only seen Kampmann fight a couple times and never seen McFedries before. So I don't know enough to call it.

Anyone else have any predictions?

Randy has always had problems with the bigger HW's. Ricco Rodriguez just ground him up. Sylvia is just so much bigger than him that he will hardly have to sprawl to avoid a takedown. Tim is strong enough that I think he could knock Randy out.

Ace vs. "Don't Underestimate Me" McDonald has the makings of a very interesting fight. McD is a tenacious fighter and has very good stamina. Who knows how gun-shy Ace is going to be after getting his face destroyed. I am going to take McD in this one. Call it a mild upset.

Hughes should plow right through Lytle. The man is an animal. GSP probably the only other fighter in that weight class that is as good ( and look what he did to Matt last time) .

Babalu should beat up on Lambert, but I think the UFC may be worried about him. He better show up and give the people a good fight after his last showing.

Kampmann and McFederies, I know nothing about. Like you Ive seen Kamp fight a few times. No idea.

Randy didn't just win, he basically owned the entire fight. The former champ wasn't even a challenge.

I was a bit surprised that Ace was able to beat JMac down so badly. I guess when you take a good sized step up in competition, it shows.

As for Sylvia, I think that the HW division was so weak that he was champ by default. As in its not default of Timmy that he is champion. Now you have a matchup of Mirko v Randy that will be a HUGE draw on the PPV. If they do meet, I am going to try to fly out to Vegas oe wherever they have this one to see it.

I wonder if CroCop can drop to 205 and fight Liddell? Now that's a fight I'd like to see =)

Or I guess Liddell could pack on a few lbs and fight at heavyweight, that might make more sense.
