UFC 64 tonight..... any good fights ?

I haven't really heard of anybody fighting tonight. Is it going to be worthwhile to watch or should I just put on the Fresno State football game

Kenny Florian vs "The Muscle Shark" Sherk (sp??) lightweight title (155? maybe)

I like seeing Franklin fight, and Silva is good, but I have to work, so I'll miss this one.

I dont understand why these type of events are so overpriced.
Wouldn't it make much more sense to give it out at a lower price with more subscribed viewers ?

well i know i would get them more often if they were cheaper. Right now i get maybe two a year at $40 a pop. If they were say $10-15 i would probably get every one.

Same with Boxing and Wrestling.

i've seen every ufc live since about ufc 48...

one thing i've learned is just because a card is stacked, doesn't mean it's going to be a great card. the opposite is also true. take ufc 61 for example...7-8 big named fighters...terrible show.

The talent pool at the top of all of the fight games has always been very shallow. You either get the same guys fighting each other over and over or you get a lot of mismatches.

Sometimes there are dry spells where you can go months or years without seeing a good match. As a longtime boxing fan (now MMA too), I realized that fact many years ago.

yeah boxing seems to be in a bad spell right now. sure there are some good fighters but it seems most fights suck.


also there are way to many belts out there. seems like everyone has one.

I think his ground game is way better than his standup. So when it came to finding Liddell, he simply couldnt cloes the distance for a take down. Chuck Liddell pretty much has rocketpowered bricks at the end of each arm so you take one fo those and its pretty much game over.
