wish people would shut the fuck up with the booing during the matches. That was a great fight. Technical with some big shots. They cant expect big men to dance around like lightweights.

Because of the nature of mma I think MMa fans are the least informed/knowlegeable of all the major sports.

I mean people dont know what they hell is going on most of the time.

Well, I imagine most UFC fans are a bunch of bros and idiot rednecks shouting "beat his ass", so I agree.

And, it is time!

Cormier looked fine at the end of round 3.
how the hell did he get gassed so quickly at the beginning of round 4?

Wow, Jones just threw Cormier down at the end of the fourth. Didn't realize Cormier was a 2-time olympian wrestler.

It may be that Jones was laying it easy in the 3rd, conserving energy :shrug

I think DC is just not not used to these 5 round fights and Jon is. Experience in championship rounds is showing. Jon might have not been going all in in the 3rd in anticipation though, but I don't expect that to be the case with how dangerous DC is.

With the D Generation X "suck it"! That was a pretty good fight though. DC really pushed Jon, but just didn't have enough to beat him. Jones' take down defense is so impressive.

DC could really get in and land some hits.

I knew Cormier didnt have it in him. I said a few times I didnt he merited this fight. Jones took some shots. Cormeir had a good second round but 4 and 5 were a joke. He was doing well dirty boxing but he let jones get inside in the clinch too much. Think he had dead arms that last round. He didnt even try to throw.

Jones is a real weirdo: "I was able to absorb my opponents skills by watching their previous fights". (Not an exact quote, but essentially what he said). He said a number of other oddball things too.

Sucks that Cormier gassed so hard. He was doing quite well in the first and especially the second round.

Is it me or was both jones and dc's performance horrible? I can't imagine jones fighting that way against gustafsson again.

why did this ufc last so long?

the main event usually starts at midnight and the whole thing wraps up at 12:30am.
but not this one.

in the after fight interview, rogen said to jones time was running out for the ufc event.

did they add an extra match?

yes.
I was shocked that jones didn't use his reach advantage that much.
nor did he throw that many elbows like in previous matches
