Hey all. I just got a new motherboard which is the MSI KT3 Ultra2-R. No problems that I know of. I have a Maxtor 40 gig udma 133 7200rpm drive hooked up as master on the primary ide controller. I have a udma 33 dvd-rom drive on the secondary controller as master. Raid is disabled in the bios. Anyhow... under device manager/ ide controllers/primary ide controller it's showing up as just saying Ultra DMA Mode... and that's it... no 5 or 6 (5 for 100 and 6 for 133)... and with my secondary ide controller with the dvd rom drive it's coming up as ultra dma mode 2 like it should. Any idea why it's not saying ultra dma mode 6? I wouldn't worry too much about it but I'm not sure it's running at full speed or not. Oh, and I'm using windows xp with an athlon xp 1900+.

Thanks,

Ryan

I'd say you're OK. Mode 5 and 6 are mostly imaginary anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.
