I have an Abit BE-6 motherboard with the built in Highpoint udma/66 controllers. Can I connect it to the udma/66 controller instead of the eide controller? And will it benefit from this if i can? I have an Ibm udma/66 hard drive on the primary udma/66 controller now. And my cd-rom is the primary eide. The zipcd is attached to the secondary eide controller and works fine. Just curious......

hmm.. i am interested as well... would connecting a cdwriter to udma 66 actually improve its performance? (that is if the drive itself transfers data at udma 66 speeds)

I saw on a site that someone flashed their Iomega to represent a Plextor and he posted a screenshot to show how Nero detected his drive as a Plextor. Then,I looked down and saw it said udma66 device. I was curious about that.
