So, default seems to have been 100 megs, I upped the max storage to 400 now on my home computer, is there actually any benefit to giving UD more room? What does it do w/ the room?

I have assigned 10 gigs, and it does nothing ;)

Indeed, you could easily set it to 10gb, it will not use that space but you do get ~200% of the usual points for that..
UD supports multiple projects, but currently the ligandfit project is running.
This project does not use much HD space as it uses cpu power.
Other projects concern internet speed testing utilize lots of bandwith, therefore you get points on each factor.
But you can select to which projects your willing to participate on their website..

(don't know any projects which uses lot's of HD space though ;))

That's great news! Thanks for all of the work you've been doing here. BTW, are you feeling better now?

UD as we refer to it is the grid.org project. It used to be called the united devices project, but united devices split off the grid.org project to clearly define it as separate. United Devices makes grid software and servers that they sell for money. Grid.org uses the UD client to process possible drugs against known cancer causing proteins (looking for interesting reactions). The results of this scanning will be donated to the University of Oxford, and they will make their results open to the world (Source).

They also run sub-projects sometimes, like the Smallpox project (same thing but with smallpox) and the Anthrax project.

Seems like a worthy cause to me, so I contribute... The stats are also really nice ;)
