UD: Points question

I just recently moved my UD account here to TA and was sad to see that my 600,000 points with my old team...remained with the old team 🙁

Looking around the UD forums, I noticed they have a policy of not transferring points. Any way around this...? That's a lot of points I wish I could donate to the TeAm!! 🙂

Incidentally, I'm "vsmith23" in the UD stats here. I've moved SETI, SoB, UD, Folding2, Distributed Folding, ECC2, TSC acounts and (as much as possible), points/stats, here to TA. Still need to move FightAids account here too. 🙂 I'll show up variously as Phoenix (or some slight derivation), or vsmith (or some slight derivation) 🙂

Call me fully onboard, and happy to be here! 🙂

Welcome aboard Van 🙂

I don't know much about UD, but I am sure that one of the TeAm members who run it will be along shortly. It's great to have you onboard 😀

Turns out I can't move SoB points either 🙁

What IS it with some of these DC projects....!

Thanks for the welcome, again 🙂

Hey Bot! 🙂

Hey Van! 🙂

I am one of those people who believes your points are your points and you should be able to do with them as you please

Hi Crazee! 😀

I couldn't agree more with you----these DC projects that restrict movement of points is just beyond my understanding....

I like to think that your points should stay with the team you were on when you got them. This avoids the problems that people had with seti with some people with a lot of points continually jumping teams. It helps to stabilize the team stats. Your team can be catching up on another team and be set to overtake them in 10 days and then someone leaves and then your team now needs a month to overtake. Moving points can lead to frustration amongst many people on many different teams.
