Well, I figured what the hey, I'll give it a try. (Feelin' brave at 5am... bored like a stick to.)
Good points
1- It's got a real snazzy GUI, even shows/tells you what it's up to.
2- It hasn't crashed Fred yet.
3- You got a chance to win a whackload of some kinda air miles. (like I need more of those)
4- Depending on your speed/connection/free space, you may work on any number of things.
Bad points (IMO)
1- It installed as a screensaver, as well as putting itself in the start-up. (Didn't take long to fix that). If you want to make a startup shortcut, you have to go to the windows folder to make one, or just cut the one out of the startup folder.
2- After rebooting and starting the client, it immediately dialed up and connected with it's server, even though the work wasn't finished. After a few seconds, it picked up where it left off.
Observations
1- The work unit I got was 2.8mb.
2- Wow, a few minutes ago it was 25% done, now it's 5%, I don't know if it did a connect or not. Oh well now I'm at 7% and it took 7 minutes.
3- Gonna let it go awhile, see what happens...
Later all..
