ucla vs usc - CS engineering school

I know here are a couple of souther californians here ... my friend got accepted here for the fall and was wondering which school is generally better for CS/EE majors. thanks! 🙂

usc may be expensive but they give out scholarships like crazy, i got a ton of money offered when I applied

seriously
USC $30,000/year (without housing)
UCLA $8,000/year (without housing)

I don't see the point in paying graduate school rates for relatively equal undergrad educations, when good grades at either school can get you into whatever grad program you want.
