Hell yeah. Now there's no team as tough as Michigan until the USC game. If UCLA can keep it up and not blow their semi-easy games till USC, they might be able to go undefeated if they do beat SC. But who knows....one loss isn't that bad either. Oregon won't be easy next week though. But it was a great game. Go Bruins!

Best not forget:
1)Michigan was playing with an inexperienced quarterback.
2)Fresno State game last week.
3)In addition to USC, games at Washington & Oregon.

UCLA was the better team. Michigan was strong in the first half but, they looked tired and lost in the second half.

I forgot the Huskies are doing so well this season....but then again, the entire Pac-10 is whoopin on everyone. The new polls came out today. Pac-10 teams are 7,8,9. That's pretty damn good. Not to mention that Stanford beat #5 Texas yesterday. But the Bruins should be able to handle the Huskies and Trojans.

Although the heat definitely got to the Wolverines (110 deg.), I loved it.

Too bad Cal didn't beat Illinois, could have been a total Pac-10 trouncing of various ranked teams. Anyone think the whole ranking system is out of whack?

Those rankings are meaningless at this point of the season. I mean, the Bruins weren't even in the top 25 when the season started. Either were the Fighting Irish. But looks at both of the teams; Bruins beat two #3 ranked teams in the country and the Fighting Irish takes #1 Nebraska to overtime before losing then this past weekend beating #12 Purdue. These rankings are pretty much talk at this time of the year. That's why a lot of the college football people are talking about implementing a college football tournament much like the NCAA basketball tournament - the ranking system is too unpredictable whereas an end of the season tournament would bring out the true national champion.

Did any of you guys watch the Illini-Cal game? I'll admit Cal has one amazing punter, I thought our game looked pretty solid, but he just kept on putting us back behind the ten. Kinda hard to get many TD's when you've got to drive over 90 yrds. We're playing Michigan next weekend, hopefully we can continue to bring them down :) There'll be some good parties if we win, and the students section is gonna be rocking regardless.
