Ubuntu X64 Questions.....

OK, I read here quite a bit and with all the talk of late concerning XP X64 I had an old system upstairs and decided to in stall my copy of XP X64 on it just to compare it to Vista X64 and XP Pro 32 bit.

Well, I've also found a copy of X64 Ubuntu 7.10 I had downloaded and not installed. I have never used it period and was thinking I might also install this since I have the room on a seperate drive on this system. My question is, will I lose any function? I seem to recall lack of flash and perhaps Java on prior Ubuntu X64 builds.......is this still the case and is/are there any other concerns/benefits perhaps I should be aware of?

EDIT: Figured perhaps I should include the system specs of the system this will be going on so.............

AMD 64 bit Dual Core 4200 939 Socket
Asus A8N-E
2GB Mushkin DDR2
ATI X1800
Onboard Realtech Sound
3X Seagate 250GB 7200rpm Drives

The 32-bit flash plugin can work via nspluginwrapper. I'm not sure if the java browser plugin works, but who needs java anyway?

Most of the time...........nobody needs Java but, every so often there's something I want to view or use that requires it and therefore........😉

Also, forgot...........basicly, use 32 bit Firefox right? I've never messed with 64 bit Ubuntu was always happy enough with 32 bit but......since it's sitting here and I have room......LOL!
