Ubuntu server version

Hi friends

I have a spare powermac G4 that I thought I could use to learn a little about server hosting. I found the ubuntu server edition runs on ppc. So, is it a good option? I have used ubuntu on desktop and ended up liking it. I want a system that I can configure to host web pages with python scripts, servlets etc. I want it to be free of charge and as easy as possible to learn.

Best regards
Carlis

It'll probably be fine, not sure how much work it takes to get it installed though. I had to fight a bit to get Debian installed on a MacPro here at work because of EFI.

The main problem with Linux on non-x86 architectures is binary stuff like flash, but since you're not looking at a desktop you'll probably be fine.
