[Ubuntu]Screwed up my CDRoms?

I was trying to create some system links so I could mount some ISO's to run under wine for games that required a CD. I tried a bunch of suggested methods and eventually got it, but now my DVD-ROM doesn't want to play any DVD's. I'm getting seek errors when I tried to play the DVD. MPlayer is saying failed to open dvd://1.

Any suggestions?

You might have to set the region on the drive, do you have any discs that aren't locked to one region?

I'm positive that's not the issue. I can't burn CD's either, it seems. How does one remove system links?
