ubuntu on ibook g3 800

ok i have a 12inch ibook g3 800 it diddnt come with an airport card so instead of paying 80 bucks for one on e-bay i got a d-link usb stick,loaded up unbuntu everythigns golder, however tje usb stick uses the rt500 chipset so i download the drivers apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.12-8-powerpc then cd into the directory of the driver files then run make and i get errors saying that teh gcc-3.4 command cannot be found ? ideas?
 
I am glad you fixed your problem but you would get much more information by posting on the ubuntu forums.
