"Hard Drive Install
1.) Place Ubuntu ISO onto a seperate partition/hard drive as to what your install Ubuntu on.
2.) When the CDROM drive fails to ignitiate stage 1, it will prompt you with other methods of installations.
3.) Select Hard Drive Installation
4.) Enter in the location of the ISO then begin."

So i have win2k on the first partition of my laptop, then empty/unallocated space for ubuntu, then a fat32 partition that is holding the ubuntu iso.
C:\ is win2k ntfs
E:\ is fat32 holding the iso

my usb cdrom doesnt mount and the install stops after you choose the keyboard layout.

how could i make the cd rom fail at stage one so it can give me an option to do a HD install. and how can i find the location of the iso.
