Ubuntu help!!

hey everyone!

im thinking about installing ubuntu.. but just wanted to know how to get Unreal Tournament 2004 to work on it. and also how to get an iPod to work with it 🙂

thanks 🙂

Plug in your iPod and go to town. I also suggest anapod.

As for UT2K4, is it the demo or the full version?

so just plug the ipod in and it works?

and its Unreal Tournament 2004 GOTY or whatever... its retail full installation on 1 dvd 🙂

Yep, you should be able to just plug it in.

As for UT2k4, you'll need WINE (sudo apt-get install wine). Then you'll need to rightclick in setup.exe or whatever the file is.

No need for wine - there's a native version.

Pop the disc in and there should be a linux install script on the root of it. Open up a terminal and execute it: sh /media/cdrom0/linux-installer.sh

I knew they had a demo installer, but I didn't know there was one on the CD.

Nice!
