i've installed the latest 32 bit netbook via wubi on to test it (on my sammy nc10) and i can see what in windows would be my C drive, but not the 2nd and larger partition - D drive where my vids etc are.

it has desktop, 21GB filesystem then system reserved. the other partition isn't visible at all afaics.

help? where on earth do you find this?

if it helps, the wubi install folder is on the 'D' drive i am looking for.

thought i'd carry on in this thread save starting a new one.

i'm trying to get handbrake in ubuntu here: (seriously - why no options here to embed links etc?)
https://edge.launchpad.net/~stebbins/+archive/handbrake-releases

i assumed (wrongly it seems) that i could download 1 installer like i did with opera and it would just work. under the "read about installing" part, it seems i need to spend an hour in terminal copying and pasting things that i haven't a clue what they mean - and that's step 1. i then go to a new page full of further steps to be taken to install.

this is nuts. there has to be an easier way than this right?

that was the link i tried to copy in. the guide in there goes on for ages. also have no idea what synaptic is

why no simple installer download though? having to do a load of stuff in terminal was something i thought linux had moved beyond?

latest. grabbed it a week or so ago - 10.10. 32 bit ver

ok, now the mouse if being funky with me. back and forward buttons dont do anything and clicking the scroll wheel opens a random page?

this has got to be broken somewhere. might reinstall and see if that fixes anything.
