I'm running Ubuntu 6.06 on an older upstairs computer with a wireless Ralink Linksys card. The wireless router, downstairs, is a Dlink DI-624. The connection is from InsightBB.
I got the wireless internet working great, but sometimes Gaim will randomly disconnect...usually I will say something to someone, and a a minute or so later it will disconnect and they wont receive it.
I've also noticed that sometimes the pictures wont load up all the way on websites, but thats likely another problem, but it doesn't bother me.
I am using the nightly cvs rt2500 drivers from rt2x00.serialmonkey.com. I also have it set to ping my gateway every 3 seconds, because otherwise it sometimes ends up drop connections all the time.
If anyone has any knowledge about this problem, it'd be great to know what I could do about it. Thanks!
