Ubuntu: Dell Mini 10v Touchpad Issues

I recently upgraded to a Dell Mini 10 from the Mini 9 and like almost everything except the thouchpad. It is the kind where the bottom of the pad is also the buttons. This makes it impossible to click on something and drag it around because the touchpad is being touched in two places at once.

I am running UNR and would like to know if there is a way to reduce the area where the touchpad registers movement or to make tap clicking easier. The issue is so bad it makes the laptop unusable for some things.

welcome to dell - taking designs from other companies and poorly executing.

and yeah you are not alone. google it. i'd return it. there is nothing that made it acceptable to me. rest of the laptop was nice. that part - junk. kinda like the keyboard on the mini-9 = ruined the whole mini but since i just surf using the trackpad i dont really care about the keyboard much
