Ubuntu 9.10 + Firefox 3.5.9 = No Find Function?

I love using CTRL-F in firefox to quickly fine a word or phrase. For some reason, it just doesn't work with Ubuntu 9.10 and FF 3.5.9. I can be looking at the word and type it into the find (via CTRL-F or CTRL-G) and it tells me the phrase doesn't exist.

Case in point, this forum.

Any ideas?

Working fine here with Ubuntu 9.10 and Firefox 3.6.4 Pre.

Try the obvious ie later Firefox build.
