Ubuntu 8.04 64bit: good or bad?

Should I install the 64bit version of the new 8.04 Ubuntu or stick with the 32bit version.
Are there still driver/application problems in the 64bit version?

Well, Opera isn't available for 64-bit.

It depends on your system. Since my motherboard won't take more than 3gb of RAM, I went with 32-bit.

After investigating the two a little, the 32-bit version looks to be overall better. It's more stable and has more apps.

If you need more than 4gb of memory, go with 64-bit.

Any 32-bit Ubuntu app can run in 64-bit (the trouble required to get them to run might be another story, although simple ones run instantly). That is not true for 32-bit exclusive drivers (outside of kernel, few and far between). I think there is a 64-bit version of ndiswrapper already that uses 64-bit Windows NDIS drivers.
