Ubuntu 17.04 crashes on Kaby Lake if VMware running

Hi guys, I just built a Kaby Lake system, i7-7700 with 8GB DDR4 RAM, I have installed Ubuntu 17.04 on it and then installed and ran VMware Workstation 12 with Windows 7 as guest OS on it, I allocated 4GB RAM for the VM.

The system crashes (like the screen totally freezes) randomly during use every time I use VMware or leave it in the background, it has no fixed time on when the whole system will crash but when it starts to crash the mouse pointer first to stalls and then the system totally freezes.

It seems that VMware is the cause of the system crashing. I have now installed Virtual Box and will see if the system will crash, if not then VMware is definitely the problem.

Have anyone here experienced this?

Hi guys, just an update, it is VMware that's causing the system to crash, I have tried VirtualBox and the system never crashed like when I used VMware.
