Ubuntu 14.04 - RDP / VNC from Win7

I don't know of any RDP server that runs on *nix but there are a few VNC servers that I have tried. This then requires that you can either install the client on Win at work or run it from a thumb drive.

The best server side vnc over ssh package I have used is nxserver from nomachine. I don't know if they are still around, updated, or compatible with newer distros.

To phone home these days I now just RDP or SSH from my smartphone.

TeamViewer is working very well. Thanks!

Just replaced Win7 at home with Ubuntu on the kids PC. Working very well so far. I installed XMBC so they can watch their movies, music, etc. When they get stuck I can just team viewer over instead of getting off the couch.
