Ubiquiti Unifi AP?

shabby

Diamond Member
Anyone used one of these access points? How do they compare to the typical consumer grade routers/ap's? Wifi is pretty poor upstairs in the house, powerline only gives me 5mbps tops and snaking a cable upstairs is a bit trivial.
Any other ap's i should be looking at near the $100 mark?

We have migrated to them as our work solution. We have been using the unifi ap pro and have recently begun upgrading to the AC version. I haven't used the standard version but the biggest difference between it and the pro is the gigabit connection and distance.

You can setup a server and the software is free. Overall very good devices. You'll have no problem connecting 10+ devices.

Even the standard one (2.4ghz only) kicks butt. I've installed a few for friends to help with house coverage and they're utterly reliable with great range.
